After your breakfast in your hotel in the morning you will be meet by our Egyptology English speaking guide at your hotel and accompany you by a private A/C car to Fayoum Oasis to visit Lake Qaroun it is the largest lake in the entire country, 45 metres below sea level. it is gradually developing into a resort, both with beaches, beach resorts and now also holidays houses. the water not moving is apparently a great attraction in Egypt. then visit Wady el Rayyan it has two fairly large lakes, connected by a little river and Egypt’s only water falls. the entire setting is both weird and quite beautiful. yellow, creamy sand dunes creep in on the new lakes, the water has a sweet, blue colour, and the bird life is richer than most other places around Egypt. then visit The valley of the whales it is an area of fossils; considered as an open museum, dates back to 45 million years and contains petrified primitive whales skeletons, shark teeth , shells and roots of Mangroves preserved in soft rocks. Every where you go here you find petrified sea shell and corals. then visit Hawara’s pyramid was a great attraction in Roman times, but not because of the pyramid. rather it was the fabled labyrinth, which we hear great stories about with ancient writers. Herodotus claimed that it consisted of 3000 chambers. then visit The water wheels fayoum has a great number of water wheels, perhaps as many as 200. then drive you back to your hotel in Cairo.
